How did the universe come into being? - Prof. Jürgen Schaffner-Bielich
The creation of the universe is a central question that has occupied mankind since its inception. This public lecture will give an overview of modern cosmology, the study of the formation, development and structure of the universe. Starting with the historical facts, Prof. Schaffner-Bielich will show and discuss current observations in cosmology.
How many dimensions does the world have? - Prof. Carlo Ewerz
Why is gravity so weak? Are there more than three spatial dimensions - and if so, wouldnt one already have noticed these? What does string theorie tell us about the number of dimensions? Can one find solutions using the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN? Discover more about the current questions of modern physics!
