New research projects to quantum computers
PhoQuant is concerned with realising a photonic quantum computer based on integrated optical circuits, for which Uni Heidelberg will develop number-resolving single photon detector arrays.
The MUNIQC-ATOMS project aims to build a quantum computing platform using arrays of neutral atoms, which will be optically controlled by high-speed reconfigurable optical circuits from Uni HB.
In Spinning, the aim is to use color centers in diamond integrated optical circuits to realise spin-based quantum computers using Chipscale qubit registers made at UHB.
The Reconnaitre project aims to develop compact receiver stations for high-bandwidth quantum key distribution using superconducting nanowire single photon receivers from UHB.
