Joachim Ullrich, honorary professor in our Department, takes over the presidency of the German Physical Society (DPG). He succeeds Lutz Schröder, who was president of the DPG, the world's largest physics society with around 55,000 members, from April 2020 to March 2022 and who will now become DPG vice president by rotation.
