This week, the Department of Physics and Astronomy awarded their annual SNP SE Scholarships 2026 to two physics students. The scholarships were granted to Mykhailo Chornyi and Anna Dorothea Beatrice Kuhnert, both bachelor’s students in physics in their first semester.
The certificates were presented in a formal ceremony by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Stephanie Hansmann-Menzemer, who congratulated the recipients and wished them every success at the start of their studies.
The scholarships are made possible by the Heidelberg-based software and consulting company SNP Schneider-Neureither & Partner SE, which is awarding the program for the second time. Each year, two students are selected; the scholarship provides financial support of 900 euros per month for a period of one year and is open to first- and second-semester physics students.
Established in 2023 in memory of Dr. Andreas Schneider-Neureither, a physicist and alumnus of Heidelberg University, the program aims to accompany students at an early stage of their studies and to create favorable conditions for academic success.
The Department of Physics and Astronomy sincerely thanks SNP SE for its generous and continued commitment. We are pleased to be able to support students at such an important phase of their academic journey.
Applications for the next round of SNP SE Scholarships will open again in November next year.
