2.5.2025
From May 7 to June 18, the Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 1225 ISOQUANT and the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics are hosting the Akademische Mittagspause in Heidelberg's Peterskirche (Plöck 70) - on the occasion of the Quantum Year 2025, which marks 100 years of quantum physics.
In a series of 15-minute talks, researchers present topics from the world of quantum effects in a way that is accessible to a general audience – from dark matter to time measurement using atomic nuclei. Many of the speakers are members of our department or closely affiliated with it.
The events take place Monday through Thursday at 12:30 p.m. On Thursdays, under the motto 'Hands-on Quantum Physics!', additional interactive sessions invite participants to explore experiments themselves.
