The interdisciplinary research efforts behind today's microchips

Fleur Versteegen

ASML Holding N.V.
Monday, October 06th, 17:30

Fleur will talk about how she went from studying quantum gravity at the university of Heidelberg, to researching material science phenomena at the interdisciplinary research department of ASML. Due to the international environment and close collaboration with academic partners, her current role resembles conducting research in an academic setting. However, the timeline and pace of projects can be very different from academic research groups. Fleur will discuss these and more key differences and similarities that have stood out to her over the past years.
