PHOTONIC QUANTUM TECHNOLOGY FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Tobias Wintermantel

Q.ANT
Monday, April 8th, 17:30

Photonic approaches to quantum technology have gained momentum in recent years due to the advantageous properties of photonic qubits, such as their resilience against noise, room-temperature operability, mobility, and ease of scalable fabrication via microfabrication processes. In the domain of computing, this is manifested by the fact that the most advanced demonstrations toward quantum advantage were implemented on the photonics platform.
In this talk, I will introduce the photonics technology developed by Q.ANT, covering three different sensors for measuring particles, magnetic fields, and the photonic integrated circuits platform developed for photonic computing architectures. The focus of all of these endeavors is on practical applications, especially in the industrial environment.
