Following the tradition there will also be this year a HGSFP school. Many years ago this happened to be a winter school and this year we want to bring back alive the HGSFP winter school. We are pleased to announce the next edition of the HGSFP WinterSchool, which will take place from 23 to 27 November 2025 in Obergurgl in the beautiful Alps.
The HGSFP Summer School is organised by and for HGSFP students to enable Ph.D. students from different research areas to get to know each other and share their scientific interests. The school includes lecture courses on selected topics from all branches of the HGSFP, special lectures, and posters and pitch talks where participants can share and discuss their research activities with other students. The programme will also include social activities to allow participants to spend time together and enjoy the winter in the Alps.
The number of applications usually exceeds the number of places available. The selection process is not on a first-come, first-served basis. After the deadline, you will receive an email with information about the outcome of your application. First-time participants will be given priority, but people who have participated in the past are also encouraged to apply!

In addition to the lecture program, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the week outside the classroom. Together we will make use of the many activities offered by the Obergurgl region and share social events designed to relax, connect, and enjoy the alpine environment as a group.
