Science is done by scientists, and the humans which engage in scientific nendeavors have irrevocable identities which help form cultures in their intersecting personal and professional spheres. Demographics of natural science departments may vary, between disciplines or institutes, however a common feature across them is the 'culture of no culture'. In enforcing this culture, research and teaching spaces become sterile and inequity divisions grow wider. This talk will focus on identity intersectionality in the sciences and how the cultural expectations of scientific communities apply imbalanced pressures on marginalized ndemographics.
