Habilitation at the Department of Physics and Astronomy as a rule can be done within one semester.

The goal of the Habilitation is the accreditation of the ability to teach. Candidates are required to submit a Habilitation thesis, a list of the scientific papers, and a list of the lectures that one has held at the Department of Physics and Astronomy. In addition, candidates must participate in the formal procedure held within the Department.

Please note, that candidates that wish to offer a lecture that is not part of the standard curriculum need to apply for permission to the Dean of Studies.

Formally, all candidates must submit an application to perform a habilitation to the Office of the Dean. A standard form for this can be downloaded from this page.
